CREATE Survey

Please complete the following survey to enrol onto CREATE

The CREATE scheme (Cultivating Research-rich Education and Teaching Excellence) is the University of Bristol's continuing professional development scheme for those teaching and supporting teaching. It provides an opportunity to enhance your teaching practice and to gain national recognition for your commitment to developing your role.

All academic staff on Pathways 1 and 3, grade J or over, are expected to achieve HEA Fellowship, either within two years of joining the University if you are a new academic member of staff or before applying for promotion if you are an existing academic member of staff. See the CREATE policy.

New academic staff - Pathways 1 and 3, grade J and above

For new academic staff, there are two routes, both of which will award successful completion with Fellowship of the HEA:

Which route to HEA Fellowship you will follow depends on your existing teaching qualifications, teaching experience and contract type. You are advised to discuss your engagement with CREATE your line manager. There is more information on the CREATE guide.

We will contact you with more information on receipt of your survey answers.

Existing staff - Pathways 1 and 3; staff supporting teaching e.g. PGRs, Professional Services

The CREATE HEA Fellowship Scheme will be the most suitable route for you. The scheme recognises staff as Associate Fellows of the HEA, Fellows and Senior Fellows appropriate to your role and experience.

Please note: we cannot guarantee that there will be spaces available immediately, we will contact you with more information when we receive your survey answers.
